Article Marketing Research--Listen to What Your Niche is Talking About.

When I am beginning to do article marketing research on a niche campaign, there are some very specific things that I am looking for.  There are also some very specific places that this information can be found.

The specific information that I am looking for has to do with the emotions surrounding the niche that I have chosen.  Emotional problems are the ones that people think about all of the time.  This is why niches such as making money, dating, and being healthy are so profitable and huge.

Humans are emotional creatures that buy things based on their emotions.  This is the reason that your article marketing research should focus on the specific emotions.  For example, if someone has just been dumped by their boyfriend or girlfriend, most of their time is going to be immediately spent on dealing with the emotions of that break up.

They may be looking on line for a strategy to win back their significant other.  They are definitely looking for support in that tough time.  So, next I ask myself, "What sites are they likely to visit."  This is usually a type of forum or discussion group.

This is the next step in my article marketing research.  I will spend a long time looking through forum discussions regarding my niche.  I start at Google and type in my niche or keywords followed by the word forum. 

The most valuable ones that I have found have the most entries.  It is common sense that the discussions with hundreds of posts will be of the most value.  This means that emotions are running high and the specific problem is being disruptive to the customer's life.

Do not spend all of your article marketing research time in only one forum.  It is vital to spread out and look at a wide variety of discussions.  This will ensure that you are getting an accurate overview of the emotions within a niche.

I usually have either a pen and paper or a file open on my computer when I am doing this.  It is a waste of time if I cruise through some forums for an hour without writing anything down.  I pick the top 5-7 emotional problems that people are talking about and scale my campaign using this information.  This type of article marketing research should be very detailed in order to be become profitable within a niche.
